"These things I have written unto you...that ye may know

Here is HOW...
There are 5 things one needs to know about eternal life...
1. HEAVEN
(Eternal Life is a GIFT!)
The Holy
Bible says, "...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
(Romans 6:23)
Heaven is NOT earned! Heaven is NOT deserved!
There is NOTHING you or I can do to earn Heaven; not good deeds,
not good religious works...NOTHING!
The Holy Bible says, "...For by grace
ye are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."
(Ephesians 2:8,9)
NO ONE can EARN their way to Heaven because...
2. MAN (Man
is a sinner!)
The Holy Bible
says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
(Romans 3:23)
Sin is breaking God's law. It includes such
things as lying, cheating, stealing, lust, immoral behavior, deceit, evil thoughts and more!
Therefore...MAN CAN'T SAVE HIMSELF!
If you wanted to save yourself by your good deeds, you'd have to
be PERFECT!
The Holy Bible says, "Be
ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect."
(Matthew 5:48)
So...since NO ONE is PERFECT, NO ONE can SAVE (from Eternal Death
/ Hell) themselves!
HOWEVER, IN SPITE OF OUR SINS...
3. GOD (God
is merciful!)
God does not want to punish us.
The Holy Bible says, "...God is love."
(1 John 4:8)
The Holy Bible also says, "...I have
loved thee with an everlasting love..."
(Jeremiah 31:3)
BUT...the very same Holy Bible that tells us that God loves us, also
tells us that...
God is just, and therefore must punish sin.
God tells us in the Holy
Bible, "...( I ) will by no means clear the guilty..."
(Exodus 34:7)
also, "...the soul that sinneth, it
shall die."
(Ezekiel 18:4)
So...WE HAVE A PROBLEM...God LOVES us and doesn't want to punish
us, but He is JUST and MUST punish sin! God solved this problem for you and me in the Person of...
4. JESUS CHRIST
Who is He?
The Holy Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the infinite God-Man
(100% God and 100% man at the very same time!) The Holy Bible says, "In the
beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ)...and the Word (Jesus Christ) was God. And the Word (Jesus Christ) was made flesh, and
dwelt among us..."
(John 1:1, 14)
What did He do?
The Holy Bible tells us that Jesus Christ came from Heaven to earth
and lived a sinless life amongst us. He bore your sins and my sins (past, present and futures sins) in His body and died on
the cross and rose from the grave to purchase a place for you and me in Heaven!
The Holy Bible says, "All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus Christ) the iniquity (sin) of us
all."
(Isaiah 53:6)
Jesus Christ now offers you and I the FREE gift of Eternal
Life in Heaven which He has already paid for by His death! This gift is received by...
5. FAITH
(SAVING Faith is what opens the
"Door
to Heaven')
SAVING Faith IS NOT a
mere INTELLECTUAL faith, such as believing in certain historical facts. The Holy Bible tells us that the devil believes there
is one God...so believing that there is one God is not saving faith.
SAVING Faith IS NOT a
mere TEMPORARY faith, such as trusting God for temporary emergencies involving physical, family or financial needs. You should
trust Jesus Christ for help in these things, but this kind of faith in and of itself is not SAVING Faith!
SAVING FAITH is trusting in Jesus Christ ALONE for
Eternal Life in Heaven. It means putting your faith in Christ ALONE and what HE has done to save you
rather than what you have tried to do to get yourself into Heaven!
The Holy Bible says, "...Believe (trust) on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..."
(Acts 16:31)

of your life that He has planned for you all along.
FOURTH, repent or turn away
from anything that is not pleasing to Him. He will reveal His will to you as you grow in your relationship with Him.

"Dear Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner and I do not deserve
eternal life. But I believe in my heart that You sent Your only Son, Jesus Christ to die for my sins and rise from the grave
to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Lord Jesus, come into my life; forgive me of my sins and save me. Take control of my
life. I now repent of my sins and now place my trust in You for my salvation. I accept the free gift of eternal life. In Jesus'
name I pray. Amen."

what Jesus PROMISES to those who believe in Him!
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me hath everlasting
